In search of truth

The door to the emergency ward flung open and I was rushed in. I was a blood ridden corpse. The doctors were panicking but kept a cool demeanor on their faces. They say that I was hit hard in the prefrontal cortex and Amygdala. This was very difficult to treat and survive. The doctors thought I couldn't make it, hopelessly, they continued the surgery. I was barely clinging to life, as my pulse started to drop. But after twenty long minutes of surgery and effort, It finally paid off. My Pulse increased to normal which averted a Brain failure and pulled me away from imminent and literally ' grave danger '.  All things move with time, Time is the all-powerful substance. For a person who has survived such a brutal accident, would retain only two things as time passes. The memory of the accident and the scars on the body if there are any. Well, My case is complex, or should I say simple? I just retain the scars. Yep, It's true, I have suffered from a chronic memory los...

It's the voices....

I always used to be scared of them voices....I mean, they are so creepy. Let's say, you are on a walk....and I would like you to picture yourself walking down an empty alley way, it is late afternoon and the sun has hidden itself, dark clouds have taken its place instead. The wind is howling in your ears and you get that uncomfortable feeling of being watched. I can't really say that I believe in all the supernatural beings and life after death stuff..but when you are alone, you start to experience things...Anyways, you are walking down the alley and suddenly hear a sound...like a whisper, maybe calling out your name or saying randomly weird stuff.   Your first instinct is to panic, you look around nervously and proceed walking....but at a faster pace of course. And you feel as if this voice is following you, you might begin jogging at this point. Then you really start thinking things like....you are being stalked by a spirit who wants to posses you....you look back to s...

It's sound

I swear to god....I heard it. I always thought what the sound said, but others always said that it is not a sound and is lifeless. I often found myself sitting down in an empty room, listening to the sound. And it felt as if it was trying to say something, but only I payed attention. It played tricks on me and I pleaded it to be more understandable, but it was of no use. The sound originated mostly at my home and sometimes in my head around sheer silence. I had enough, I rushed home and threw my bag away and screamed, ' what are you saying! ? '. And for the first time...I heard it, my voice echoed back to me, which was an odd thing to happen...right then, the most astonishing thing happened.....I heard it, for all these decades, I pleaded it and today, I heard it. It may have taken my life or to be more understandable, I traded my life for it...Today, I heard it.....The sound of Silence...I heard it...now that I am free from my body....I will pass the sound on..hopefully, to o...

The thing in the woods

Image
It was winter when I visited my cousin in Pasadena, She lived in a humble dwellings in a remote place. She warmly welcomed me into her house. ' been long Kate, How are you doing ? ' I asked. ' I am doing as well as I can ', replied she. We gossiped for a while. I went to my room upstairs and got changed for dinner. Soon the meal was served, grace was said and we started to devour our food. ' Does is feel alright to live almost in a forest ? ' I questioned. ' Well, it does get quite irksome ', She replied. ' Is it safe ? ' I questioned. She sighed and answered, ' sometimes '. I could see that Kate was quite disturbed, before I could ask her anything, she said, ' It's getting late, we should call it a night '.  Kate went out to her lawn after saying so. I could she her through the window. Minutes had passed by with her out, I could no longer see her through the window, I hurried outside and saw her in the far corner of the l...

She's coming

I pounced out of my slumber pod on account of hearing something. We were having a thunderstorm that night. The roaring sound of the downpour and the thunder was filling the atmosphere. But that didn't wake me up, It was something else, Something bigger. I soon realized that the disturbance was coming from downstairs. I was afraid of the dark, At first, I refrained from approaching the disturbance. I was all alone, I needed to be brave. So, Without further delay, I mustered up all the courage I could and trodded down the stairs. I was now downstairs quietly listening to the noise. It was like a thud on the wall. I couldn't tell from which one of the fist full of rooms the thud came from. It was pitch black, And the only thing illuminating the corridor was the flash of lightning coming from the windows. I started moving ahead slowly, And after each step, The thud only got louder. It seemed to be coming from the kitchen. I stopped in front of the room. The only thing that separa...
